What is the problem? How do I fix it? Please be detailed.

Make sure the video connection on both ends, the computer and the monitor (some do come out) are tight. If so try a different monitor. If the new monitor is also yellow then it is your video card. If the new monitor is fine then replace the other one.

Sounds like you're the victim of an anemic 'blue screen of death'.
Check to see whether or not the monitor plug is loose.
