hey what are some ways 2 convince my parents to let me get a myspace?

You cannot make MySpace private. Apparently you are not old enough or responsible enough for your parents to trust you with a MySpace account. Although, I know you are smarter than, and think your parents are stupid, they really are trying to protect the most precious thing in their lives. YOU!

Someone I know on my towns, Police Cybercrime unit told me they have several MySpace accounts set up representing girls and boys. They are investigating over 100 pedofiles that have made hits on these fake sites.

Believe it or not, and I know you are smarter than me cause I'm over 30, there are thousands of sick perverts on the internet and their only goal is to have sex with young girls and boys.

One day you will be glad your parents did the necessary things to protect you while you are young and foolish.

Now, go and give both a big hug and kiss and wait until you are old enough and responsible enough to handle a MySpace site, without becoming the Victim of a PERVERT.

Be honest with them... why dont they trust you? That may be a big clue. Do they think your so nieve as to give out personal information or meet a complete stranger?

There is a reason here... you are either to young to realize it. which may be why you cant have one.... or they know how you really are and they are trying there best to shelter you a little longer.

It doesnt matter though.... because your a minor and they are in control right now.

My kid probably wouldnt get to have one but.... then again... I dont know... maybe Im smart and should'nt let them.. even though I trust them...

just make one with out them knowing thats what i did all u have to do is enter a date of birth that will make u older then 21 and if they check ur history on the internet then delete ur history every time u veiw myspace or u can tell them that u can set it to private if u need help on how to make it private then e mail at [e-mail]

Well, I don't want a myspace and I don't think you should get one even if you do want one.
Your parents are only trying to do what's best for you, and although I know how difficult it seems to make things for you, I would say I agree with them on this.

don't let your parents watch the news. the only things on the news about myspace are bad. they only hear about pedophiles and freaks. You need to find a way to show them that it is not all like that. Show them the site......lol

Tell them u will set your file to private so that only the people you approve of will see your file. Tell them that you are using it to keep in contact with old friends. That one worked for me because my dad is in the military, and i use it to keep in touch with friends all over the U.S.

dont tell them and jus get it cuz then theyll want to kno who ur talkin to and then they will get tom to send them every message tht u and ur friends send each other and then ull never be able to talk on there openly to ur friends

or u could tell them tht u can make it private and tht only ppl tht kno ur name and email address can add u and see ur profilr (true) and ull only add those tht u kno
