When ever I search my files I see already deleted files and when i try to delete them it says this files is not in the hard drive anymore, becasue i deleted them of course but there all short cuts. How do i actually delete them permanently so there not there and there always in my recent folder or something like that.

I have 2 drives. I have windows XP and I have a motherboard that supports raid (but its not shown in bios)

I ask that question before but none of them worked. It disappered on me. When I go to it, it doesn't come up. Also when I go down to see if the arrow thing would come up if it was hidden, but it didn't. So where did my task bar go.

my computer keep restarting and it shows some blue screen, i want to know how to stop my computer from restarting . I'm not sure if its the R.A.M but i looked inside my computer and it only has 2 slots for the R.A.M not like other computers that have 4 slots. my little sister broke the botton to open my dvd drive i know i can go to the "my computer icon" and press eject i do that and the little green light flashes and you can hear it try to open but then it will stop and will not open can someone please tell me how to fix this?

I burn with NeroVision Express 3 and my disks often won't work with other people. Both in my own country and in USA. ( I'm in Holland)But the strange thing is... SOME disks do work.

I love nero and I NEVER have any other application on while burning.... very careful with cpu and such...
WHY won't they work? what can the reasons be?? any insights are appreciated.

At the lower right section of my screen where my icons are next to my clock, there is a yellow triangle with an explanation mark with a message that says:

ybrowser.exe - corrupt file
The file or directory C:\Documents and setting\owner\cookies is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk Utility.

When I clicked on run and typed in Chkdsk and clicked ok, nothing happened. I can't even get into my cookies. I did a scan for tracking cookies and it says there are none????

It seems lately when I point and click at something, my mouse points, and I click, I see the "button" on the screen depress, but nothing happens.

I'll click again and it works. Could the problem be my mouse or perhaps something within my computer? I'm not versed in puter language so please be kind lol.

My hard disk is split into two - h:/ for program files and c:/ for the operating system.

I want to change the ratio slightly so that there is more space on the c: drive, but I can't do it from Disk Management, and somebody told me that I can't do it at all without reformatting.

If I did, can I format the c:/ part of the drive without harming the contents of h:/ ?

Good morning .

I am accessing a remote server via putty and started a weblogic server by using a script and placed that job in background using the & after the script name.The
weblogic script is running now.The problem I am facing is,I want to exit out of that specific putty session.But,I still want the weblogic server which was started by that script to be still running.When I try to exit out of the session by typing,"exit",the shell reminds me saying that,I still have some jobs running.

host1: /opt/testdomain/3.0> jobs -l
[1] + 18889 Running ./startWebLogic.sh&
host1: /opt/testdomain/3.0>

Now,how do I exit the putty session and still have the weblogic server running.The last time,I exited the putty session I remember the weblogic server process dying out.I cant afford this now as this is a development box.

Please suggest.
