i am confuse i like to see that there is internet 4 nd internet explorer 5, what is the diffrence?
and how to check what is mine??

IE 5 is the next version of IE after 4. There is also an IE 6 and IE7 out. If you are running an older version, you need to update as the older versions as not as secure and are more likely to be infected by viruses, spyware, and other dangerous attacks.
To check the verison you have, click on Help in the menu and look in the "About..."
The newer versions of IE are available free at Microsoft.com.

The usual round of bug fixes, and ability to handle new features in webpages. IE5 has severe bugs, IE4 is considerably worse.
These days you should, if you are running Internet Explorer, be running version 7. Picking About from the Help menu will tell you what version you have.
Many people consider Firefox or Opera to be better alternatives.

isn't there also internet explorer 7 now? i dont keep up to date with that. i like firefox better (http://getfirefox.com/ ). to check what you have, click "about internet explorer" from the help menu, and to download version 7 (if you want to)go to http://www.explorer.com/

well the only difference is it is an upgraded version of ie 4.
