The PC and MAC are both computers. However, the PC has about 97% of the market, and the MAC has around 3%. Therefore most software is written with the PC in mind. The different internal design of the MAC means that a program intended for the PC won't run on a MAC, and vice versa.

The difference? A "computar" is a (misspelled) generic term for a device which reacts to, may store, and may distribute information in an organized manner perhaps according to instructions from another source (for example, a machine, or an "organic" entity such as a human being). A Mac is a specific type of computer.

Hi, there is no difference in a pc and a Mac. A Mac is a pc as well. The only difference is that a Mac is made by Apple and they call their pc's Mac. Any company can call their pc's whatever they want. The major difference is that Mac computers come with their own operating system called Mac OS X which is based on Unix. Other pc manufacturer's install Microsoft Windows on their pc's. Some manufacturer's also install Linux on their pc's which is also based on Unix. I hope I helped.
Good Luck!

I think you mean "what's the difference between a PC and a MAC". PCs and Macs are both computers, you see.

Macs are made by Apple. (The guys who do iPods) Apple's philosophy is ease of use. The things they make are simple to use, reliable, of high quality and easy to learn to use. Upside: They are great. Downside: They are expensive.

PCs tend to come with Microsoft Windows and are cheaper than Macs. They are more complicated to use, because they have so many 'features'. Microsoft cut corners and so they tend to have bugs, viruses and all kinds of other problems. Once a month, Microsoft will update your PCs automatically, which sometimes causes your PC to stop working for fault of your own. (aka path Tuesdays)

If you want to talk stereotypes, then there are three kinds of computer users:

1. Computer geeks: They hate Microsoft and tend to use PCs with Linux installed in them. (Which is a free alternative to Windows). They sometimes even use Macs and install Linux on that as well.

2. Mac users: They are the 'arty' type, like things that look good and are willing to pay for them.

3. everybody else (most of us) uses PCs with Microsoft.

Well, The Mid-American Confernece (also known as "MAC") is a college football division.

A "computar [sic]", or a "computer" is a device used for surfing the internet, creating documents, programming software, and hundreds of other practical applications, along with about a billion impractical ones..

What do you mean? You'll need to explain yourself more clearly, and perhaps give some context. What sort of MAC, for example? Are you talking about an Apple Macintosh computer, or the MAC for a Network Interface Card?
