Hopefully someone can answer this for me. We use Mozilla Firefox and in searching my cookies I found links to websites for married people looking to date (disgusting, I know). Being cookies I know it could have just been a popup or ad. But under the C: drive, documents/settings, Mozilla there was a file called signon2.txt which is a text document listing all websites visited that required you to sign on with a login name and password and several of these sites were on the list. Husband admitted he visited those sites briefly over a year ago. The problem? Every single file in the C: drive has a created date of May 7th of this year. (I think I remember our computer crashing around that time). The hard drive itself is over 4 years old, but if the computer was fixed in May and all files have a created by date of May doesn't that mean all files must be since then and not "carried over" from previous dates? Please let me know what you think. My marital future depends on it.

Hello. Can anyone tell me how to use the ls command to show only files with 6 characters in their file name and is of type .txt. So far I have ls -A *.txt

i just did a system recovery to my computer, and i lost the sound from my speakers. all the sound i hear is the sound the computer makes when an error or message pops up, otherwise i can't hear the sound on myspace, or lmewire or anything, please help me!!!!!!!!!

I only have two accounts on my computer, administrator and guest. The guest account is turned off. And my administrator account is password protected. A little while ago, I caught someone on my computer. It seems as he went around the password protection (it was impossible to know my password) and logged on.

Is there someway to bypass the password protected account? If there is, I would like to know so I can stop him. I do not want this prick invading my privacy.

And is there any other way of preventing others from logging onto my computer? Like locking it?

I have Windows XP.

In my Yahoo mail, I accidently, instead of deleting my emails from Yahoo! Answers, I pressed, Spam instead. Now I'm not getting any emails from YA....(I checked-I got a best answer and never received an email)

How do I 'undo' it? So that I receive emails from YA again on my account?

For example-on a website's contact page. My default is set to Outlook, but I never use it and do not know how to get into it. A window pops up that says Passport.login.net or something. Can I just remove Outlook from my computer?

I want to be able to set my computer so that it can turn off on it's own everynight without my having to press anything. Is this possible? I thought maybe "task manager" but that only let's me select from a list of programs to run at a specific time. Any ideas?

I am paying $40 a month for Comcast cable internet and it sucks. It will be lightning fast for one sec of the day and the rest it sucks. I had dail up before and at times comcast is just as slow and slower. I called them and they said it is because of other people around my area using it at the same time. they said I have to buy MORE bandwidth for faster internet. My friend has DSL and pays half the price as me and his is great. Its fast, plays videos with no waiting.
Who else has bad experience with Comcast frigin SLOW interenet?
