My computer's sound is screwy. It works fine until a message comes up saying Generic host process for Win32 has encountered a problem. After that my sound stops working. So I'm forced to restart my computer every hour that I'm on it Does anyone know:
1) Is their any better way to fix this from happening?
2) What is generic host process for win32?

What company do they use to deliver it? (fed ex, ups, dhl)

my son who is normally a good kid had a bunch of pornographic material on his computer. he tells me that it is from the temporary internet files that every site u go to accidental or purposely it will download all of the pictures to that site, im kinda computer dumb so i wouldnt know myself. i dont want to know if he is watching porn i just want to know if he is right about the temporary internet files. plz hurry before i ask ppl he knows,

A majority of my desktop icons now has a red dot in the bottom left hand corner, which has never been there before. Also my folders have the same red dot.

I'm trying to make a DVD, but I don't have a DVD burner. All I have is a DVD-Rom and a CD Burner, and the files I want to burn are .wmv and .mpg.

I'm trying to burn them onto a DVD-RW.

This is in regard to the "humane" disposal of an old desktop computer... I'm thinking of upgrading, but don't know what to do with the remains. I realize that I could just send it out with the garbage, but it's pretty functional yet mildly obsolete and think that trashing it would be a terrible waste.

A friend I have has a small flash animation in his signature with a beautiful song in the background, and it goes on for a few minutes, but unfortunately, he does not know the name of the musician, only that the song is "behind the green door". It's slow instrumental. But regardless, I want to take this song from my computer, but I lack a microphone, so I can't do it the redneck fashion. Is there a way to directly record something from my sound card so that it's recording exactly what I am currently hearing off of the computer?

ok,so I'm trying to get my computer to boot from the recovery discs I made.Though when I put the first dics in the drive,the menu that pops up has nothing that would make the computer boot form the discs.The menu says,print pictures,veiw slideshow,veiw files,play with media player, take no action,copy pictuers to folder,or play video files.This really makes no sence to me because I don't ha any pictures or videos on the disc.What should I do?

I have seen people ask about Dell laptops, and an answer I continually see is "Don't buy Dells the used to use exploding batteries, buy a Toshiba instead." Now there are two things about that I don't understand, firstly, Toshiba issued a recall because they were using those same exploding batteries made by Sony, so recommend them over Dell? And secondly, why the heck does it matter what either company used to use, neither uses them now. Can anyone else make any sense of this logic?

Last time I saw it was yesterday on my desktop and I KNOW that I didnt delete it so where the hell is it??T__T it has all my precious pics and anime in it...
I checked the recycle bin, I checked the other folders in the desktop and I checked my documents,no one could have deleted it because:
-My pc is protected with a password and I'm 100000% sure that no one knows wat it is
-It was there yesterday
-When I leave my pc open and go for a while I always change the timing of the screensaver to 1 min and check the "resume to welcome screen" box
-No one was there to do something to it

And the other weird thing about it is when i was looking for it, I clicked on one of the songs in "My recent documents" menu, and the song played normally!! Cause if the folder is deleted so will the songs in it and if I click on it from the,for example,My recent documents menu it will ask to browse for it.I tried it 3 times in 3 different players and the songs played normally...SO WATS GOIN ON?

Every like 2 hours my laptop screen just goes blank except for the mouse then about 30 seconds later it freezes and i have to remove the battery to make the pc shut down now i know its not really wise to take out the battery but its the only way. This has been happening for about a month now and is really annoying now especially when im in teh middle of something important it mainly happens when im using some high graphics thing.

I have windows vista ultimate
1gb ram
256mb gfx card
