I have purchased a computer from the online Apple store, but it was about 7 years ago. I believe they used FedEx, though. It was pretty fast in coming - I think it was 2nd day?

And as for finding Apple products cheaper in the stores, they are generally the same price everywhere (unless it's used). You'll save on shipping, though.

I even have offered distinctive refurbished desktops from Apple and characteristic by no potential had an argument. for my area this is greater useful than figuring out to purchase a sparkling Mac - a sparkling Mac is packaged right now on the production unit and shipped to you, a refurbished Mac is systematically examined by potential of Apple techs ahead of delivery. This makes particular the Mac is in great shape. All that, and a chit besides. the 2nd area of your question, approximately having 2 Macs and leaving one in a locker, is a foul thought. i do no longer care how secure you think of this is, a Mac is a few thing human beings will prefer to scouse borrow, and no locker, workplace, dorm room and so on. is shield sufficient to evade robbery or unintended harm. If value isn't a great number of a situation, evaluate a MacBook Air - this is plenty lighter and thinner than a MacBook. you additionally can locate them interior the refurbished area.

They use a number of different carriers. It depends on where you live.

I'm in Canada and my Mac Mini was shipped from California and took about 4 weeks to clear Canadian Customs, and the courier companies can't control this.

I had to buy online because the nearest Apple reseller is a half day trip away. The purchase experience was pretty good though.

Get the student discount. They control the price very well at stores. You don't have to be a student; just a parent of a student, or a teacher. (And even then all they need is for you to say that you are a student or educator, no ID required or anything) They send it the very next day via a courier service. I ordered mine online after 6pm, and got it at 10am the next morning.

I wouldn't suggest it. Most of the time you can find the products cheaper in stores rather from their website.
