Because I have an extra windows xp key and cd and I would like to upgrade my computer

It has 64 megs of ram, and a 560 mhz amd processer

If its running 98, yes it should work, just need the correct drivers, but if the PC is that old, putting XP on may not gain you anything much as you may even find it slow unless you upgrade the memory or/and processor

If you try to install XP on the loading XP drivers it will tell you that you do not have enough ram (memory) XP will not even install on a system with less than 128mb of ram. I would leave it alone and try getting a newer faster computer you can pick them up fairly cheap on www.tigerdirect.com and just use the other for surfing and storage...Thanks

Before you do this, you first need to check that the old computer has all the basics you need. Does it have enough RAM for a start? Personally, i think it's pretty unlikely that you will get XP running, or if you do, that you will be able to run anything else.
