plug them in and run the raid utility to define the array .... it probably has to be enabled in the bios if its onboard raid ..

That depends on what RAID controller or utility you're using, wouldn't it?

the big thing is to make sure the parition sizes are the same , if they arn't and you need that extra space , i would go for a job array instead.
