Well, we could be doing better in the USA, too. Japan has the fastest internet. Europe's ahead of us, too. I wonder why that is.

I believe your government must proposed for a higher speed of Broadband Internet and have it bid. Maybe because your government have still a contract with the previous company or the same company must now upgrade their old system to adopt to the newest broadband internet high speed power system.
Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

This statistic doesn't surprise me. We are so far behind the rest of the world in internet and the government doesn't seem to care. For the speed we get broadband should be free to all.

It is definately slower here. There was quite a delay between clicking on your question and being directed to the site. The server I use is supposed to be one of the fastest. At one stage, I had the speed at the highest but it made the system unstable.

YES !! YES !! Tell me about it. Big Pond is stupid , and over priced , just like Optus . With a 2 main company set up in this country the others just follow because there is no REAL competition . Just try to get an email to Canberra, you don't know if it got there because it won't be answered anyway

Even bigger reasons to vote for Kevin Rudd and the Labour party, it is about time we had a change in this country, out with the old and in with the new.
