At the lower right section of my screen where my icons are next to my clock, there is a yellow triangle with an explanation mark with a message that says:

ybrowser.exe - corrupt file
The file or directory C:\Documents and setting\owner\cookies is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk Utility.

When I clicked on run and typed in Chkdsk and clicked ok, nothing happened. I can't even get into my cookies. I did a scan for tracking cookies and it says there are none????

Thanks for your help!!! :)

use the xp scheduler thingi, it's in the system config (might be called "task scheduler" or something)

it allows you to plan/schedule a chkdisk after the next reboot

You've got some pretty good advice, But since you have done what ya done. I'd try this, If you got WinXP go to help & support and try to do a system restore to an eariler time before all this came about. If you still incur the same problem,
Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove and uninstall yahoo and all tool bars, messenger, just everything to do with yahoo. Now, I would run a scandisk, & chkdsk first. Don't reinstall yet. If you have a adware/spyware program run it, or them. go to www.symantec.com click on home and office, at the top click on viruses & risks, on that page on the left click on Threat Explorer, on that page look up in the right search box and type free scan. It will bring up symantec security check-free online scan.Click on the Test your computer's exposier. It will bring up two boxes, one for security scand the other for virsus detection. Do these one at a time, and do not close or min. the page for the scan will stop. It will take a while depending on how big you hd is. After, you have used all utilities that are at your finger tips. I would reboot, if all seems well, go back to a yahoo download page, next disable any ativirus temp. and redownload your yahoo. Re enable the virus protection.

Go into My Computer, right click on your C: hard drive, Select Properties from the popup menu.

It will open a tabbed menu , the second tab is "tools"
click tools. and click "check now" and check off both the little boxes after that. Next time you reboot windows will run checkdisk (which does take quite awhile).

Assuming you have windows XP

nicely easily NO workstation comes with Microsoft word. you're able to ought to purchase that one after the other no remember what workstation to procure. At superb you're able to get a 60-day trial. the only different spec you're able to could desire to look out for could be a video card, by way of fact if your pc has a descent video card, it might fantastically much actual meet all your standards (extraordinarily the Sims 3 one ;) i could advise searching for something with an nVidia 8000 or 9000 sequence video card. ATI is very nicely to boot, yet easily are not getting a working laptop or workstation with an Intel graphics card.

I would delete your internet cookies by opening Internet Explorer, then going to

Tools/ Internet Options/ Delete/ Delete All.

This will delete all your internet history and cookies and stored passwords and see if that sorts it out.

http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

run that

cleaner + registry tab, fix all errors , make backup when it asks.

after u have scanned, rescan till registry errors show zero.. reboot.. see what happens.

see if that improves matters. I'm guessing its something to do with yahoo.. you use it for IM?

perhaps a reinstall of that would be good also

Uninstall Yahoo and remove the program folders. Redownload it and see if that works. If it doesn't, you might have a registry error somewhere.
