There is not one directly on the keyboard, but as long as you have a right numeric keypad, you can still create one. These are called Alt Codes. For the square root sign, click on someplace that you can enter text, hold Alt, then on the right numeric keypad, hit 251, then release the alt key. This produces the square root sign. √ This will work on ANY place that you can enter text... Hope this helps!

On computers, the forward slash counts as the division sign; Just like the asterisk (*) counts as the multiplication sign. If you want the "original" symbol, you'll have to copy and paste. The link below has it all over the page. Copy it, paste it to a document somewhere, and save it for future reference.
