A printer has a resolution of 300 dots per inch. How much data needs to be transferred to the printer in order to print a bitmap image measuring 8" x 6" and using 256 colours

ok, thx but the thing is i dont have that file, it a teoretical question, if i have that size file what size would it be? How to count it?

Assuming you're in Windows - Add a new printer using the same driver, but choose the option to print to file. Depending on Windows version that may be a checkbox or it may be on the list of ports. When you print something it sends the info to a file instead of to the printer. Look at the size of the file, that's how much data it would have sent to the printer.

If you want to test this, copy the file to the printer and see that it prints normally. (It's been a while since I did this, but here's what I remember. Set the printer to use port LPT1:. From a DOS window copy /b file lpt1: .)
