I am thinking of getting a new pc and am wondering which is better 2GB of 533mhz or 1GB of 677mhz? thanks

I've been chatting with someone on yahoo messenger and he says he can know my whereabouts . I did not give him my Ip. Does yahoo messenger reveal the Ip of the people you are chatting witrh, or is there some other way to know there whereabouts?

I bought a new harddrive because Sony made there here cdrive 14 gig. Some vidio recording software will use cdrive. I partitioned 200 gig 100 each then the preinstall disks didn't work so I copied all the files to the new drives. Then it wouldn't boot so I used a friends xp disk

Okay I want something reliable, that can run the internet with relative speed, possibly run a little world of warcraft, able to withstand an ipod and music.

AND BE CHEAP!!!
[[I have never owned a computer before and I have to buy my own-- and im kind of broke but i have a job]]

My recovery disc doesn't offer it selectively and I'm not sure it would be there if I did the full recovery, and that would be a lot of work for something that may not work. The microsoft website just seems to run me around in circles. As another option, do you know another downloadable program with which I can convert .gif files to .jpg?

I used to play Spider Solitaire in the 'small' version, not full screen. But then one day it just disappeared. People told me that it slid 'off screen.' I can still play it in full screen mode, but I miss my little version. Is there any way to get it back?

I currently have DSL, and my computer seems to run slower every day. Sometimes it take a long time to open programs, and some programs don't respond. What do I need to do to either remove somethings or change programs so that my computer will run faster?

The CD sounds great, but at the end of the CD, instead of playing the next CD, the playback machine skips back to the middle of the last cut of the computer-burned disc. Problem is not in the player. Commercial discs cycle fine to the next disc.

On Start-Up my Dell Inspiron Laptop computer is not functioning normally. It normally loads and runs about 76 processes at startup, but now it is just loading about 43 processes. This eliminates a lot of functions from operating such as printer, sound card, Internet Explorer browser, McAfee program, SpySweeper, and several others. I also cannot install any programs I download. FireFox browser is working.

Does anyone know what has happened and how to fix this?

Is it possible on Windows XP Home to create a limited account that only certain programs start upon boot so it boots faster and is there a way to stop the internet connecting in a limited account?
As I want to set up a quick account for my Photography so I can quickly boot up and copy my pictures.

I have edited a family movie using Roxio (MyDVD9) and am ready to burn it onto DVD, but it is 5123 mb in size and won't fit onto my 4.7 g blank dvds. I'm using the "fit to disc" but it is still saying that it is too large to fit onto the disc and that I have ran over by about 13 minutes. Unfortunatley, I cannot edit anything else out (it is my grandparents who have passed away talking about the "good ol days"). Please help.

i have 2 users in Ubuntu , root and jok3r , i changed wrongly home directory of jok3r root , now root home directory and jok3r is same. When i try to login kubuntu , it gives a error, i cannot connect kubuntu via root , and jok3r, because of home directory same .

Is there any way to change homedirectory of jok3r from Terminal, or any suggestion about that ? Thanks alot.
