Every time I try to get online or open a program like my antivirus or spyware or Internet a pop-up comes up and says 'ARE YOU SURE YOU WANNA DO THIS' they are getting annoying and is there anything Ican do to turn them off

i have a stupid trojan, i scanned with symantec, it showed me 46 bad files, i delete most of them but there is still about 20 c:\_RESTORE\TEMP files, i click delete and it says access denied file source in use can somebody tell me how to surpase this or how to get this trojan off my comp, please, doont say spybot, it didnt do it, or avast or AVG, they didnt work. my computer is a windows ME 98, Please help??!

i have these pics of shoes and chapstick and random junk in my system temp folder, it says it was created a year ago, but i no it wasnt because i just got the trojan friday, is this just a internet file sent to me? i am asking this because friday my mom used that computer to type in here credit card for xbox live, and a few hours later i used sendspace.con and got it, am i safe?

when I start my computer explorer.exe won't run, I start it via Task Manager > "New Task..." but it doesn't work, it either doesn't come up or only appears for two seconds then goes away again. I've repaired the registry, deleted explorer.exe from the registry, but everytime I start my computer, I log on my username and type in my password or w/e and it just shows my background picture but doesnt start anything else.

I really don't want to format and I've used the windows recovery console on the windows disc but I don't know how to work it w/o losing all the stuff on my harddrive.

Ok... just to warn u, i dont know much about computers so pretty please explain stuff simply for me :)

Basically, i've taken some rather... err... 'naughty' pictures on my digital camara for my boyfriend. If i open them on the computer and print them off immediately WITHOUT saving them onto the computer, will there be ANY trace of them still on the computer afterwards?

Its a computer i share with the family, so i dont want anything left of them on there afterwards u see...

I have a movie but it is in nrg format and total video convertor will not let me convert it to ipod mpeg 4 or ipod mov mpeg4, therefore i cannot import it into itunes and watch it on my ipod. if anyone knows how i can convert this file so it will work on my ipod please let me know. ty

No, these aren't pop-ups that address a problem of some sort with your computer. These are automatic desktop pop-ups for messenger log ins my sister set up somehow whenever you log on. Yes, pop ups for Yahoo Messenger and AIM. These nuisances slow down the computer extremely when all I want to do is go on the Internet. How do I get them to stop automatically popping up on my desktop?

I had to download Nero 7 into split files, how do I rebuild them into a completed file?
The following was the instructions I received. I just don't know how to do it, HELP PLEASE!

Split Files
When a file is over 10MB you have the option to download it in multiple files, each 10MB or less. To download a file, right click with your mouse on its link and use the the "Save Target As..." menu option in Internet Explorer
Once all of the files are downloaded, rebuild them into a completed file:
In DOS the command is
command prompt> COPY /B IMAGE* FILENAME

Additional Details

I did purchase and download Nero 7 from Nero.com. Because the download was so long and I am on a landline, this was an alternative way to finish the download I just don't know what to do now.

I wanted to use Outlook on my PC to just use the Tasks functions, and I set up an account or whatever and it wanted name of service and name of user , then it popped up a signin screen, and I have no idea what password to use. I never created a password anytime along the way to create this outlook account. Does anyone know about how to fix this?

I have 2 computers in my room both of them are desktops and I have them both running off 1 phone jack.They both have DSL boxes and when I want to use 1 computer i have to unplug 1 computer from the phone jack and plug the other 1 in.Is there anyway I can run them both without having to do this?

hi all,

my problem is, i have a 9800pro and it seems there is a problem with it, or the drivers i'm using.

When i play a game like call of duty 1, the Graphics card starts acting weird, and the map of the game starts merging with its self and i cant see anything, apart from fuzzy random colors.

Its like the card is overheating and cant process anything, it also restarts my computer whilst playing about 2 minutes of the game. The 9800pro it selfs is probably only about 6/7 months old...

ive got the latest drivers installed on it, and the latest motherboard drivers etc...

I had a look on the ATI website but its a bit cruddy for support.

dunno whether the fan is slowly wearing out or what. its a bummer tho cuz i wanna play cod online :D
