I was wondering whether I could view messages downloaded from Thunderbird in Outlook 2003 without having to redownload them.

I do not have a name or any idea where this man lives. I danced with him at an event held in Nashville in 1999. I cannot remember his name. He attended the event with his daughter and her husband. I do not know their names or where they were from. The only thing I have is a picture of the two of us together. Where would I even begin, or is it hopeless?

My mom accidentaly sent an email to someone and my dad said there's a way to recall an email like it was never sent. He's done it before when he used to work at his work. I've never heard anything like that. I mean once an email is sent, it's sent and there's nothing that can be done. Please write back. Thanks.

ok, i shut my computer off a different one, not the one im using now. Everytime i press the power button, it goes through the little warm up process, then the screen goes blank , everything turns off, then starts up again. It keeps repeating this process and wont stop.

Im reading about Linux and playing around with Ubuntu.
Im very new to it..
But i am doing a lot of things using Bash.
I see that everything i am doing is about changing system configuration all the time..
I understand then why learning to use the shell is so important.
I see it a must for someone having to administer a server or something alike... but here is my question:

At the "user level", why and what for is the need to use it so much?
Everything i am reading strongly suggest to use the terminal and a lot of things look to me very old fashioned and time wasting.
I read somewhere that on a GUI enviroment, is not possible to do everything and blah blah blah...
But what things are you then going to do besides administrative tasks, that are going to be better in the shell than using a GUI?
What can't a desktop user do on a GUI having those millons of packages available, to be forced to use the shell...?

I think you got my point...

Thanks

I have a two year old dell laptop. Recently it has started running very slowly. It takes forever to load any programs or anything. I have no spyware problems - I use Ad-Aware regularly and keep my definitions updated. I have norton installed, and that is the only virus program I use. I dont have it networked, only use the internet casually at home, and dont have any big programs running. I really just use the computer for the internet and for microsoft word. And I dont download a lot of stuff that would have given me a virus, only a little bit of music on limewire.

If you have any suggestions that would be awesome, but please be specific as to any solutions because I am not very computer saavy. However, i really want to avoid resetting my entire hard drive because I would lose some things that i cant easily replace on your drive.

Thanks!

Love to browse the news online. But after i'm maybe a couple paragraphs in,(10-15secs) the text of whatever I was reading shifts up several "frames". So far up sometimes i have to scroll to relocate where I was.
Is there some option i have to stop this? IE7, xp

p.s. I know, wait 30 secs, then, no problem. But I hate waiting. Will run a redlight if no traffic and no cops, otherwise, teeth gnashing.

For some reason my taskbar icons disappeared after my computer was idle for a while. I think it was after my comp. did an automatic update and restarted itself. I am unable to add new icons and all of my previous icons are gone. I pretty much know my around the computer but I haven't been able to figure this one out.

Thanks!
