Other - Computers - December 2006

When I do a system restore or recovery, it still keeps all of my files and programs, and even worse, makes my program's files messed up and corrupted, so I got to uninstall what i have then reinstall it for it to work.
Anyway, I have a compaq presario (SR1303WM)

When I e-mail someone through Yahoo! Answers,

Does it use my Yahoo! ID ?

Can I log into my Yahoo! ID and then check my mail, and see the same e-mails I sent while I was on Yahoo! Answers in my main sent folder, Or does Yahoo! Answers have a seperate e-mail inbox on the actual Yahoo! Answers page?

Can I see the e-mails I have sent to people?

And why when I send an e-mail through Yahoo! Answers,
I can't see it in my Yahoo! inbox under my main Yahoo! Account?

Does Yahoo! Answers usually allow the e-mail to go through and send ?

I hope I did convey my questions in a clear manner,
So that you all can understand them,

ok....please help me i really need your wonderful help so please do all your best to help me..
i got a movie and i love it sooo much but i have to return it back as soon as i can...and i want to save this movie to my computer and then ill rip it to my dvd...

ok, it happens to my old laptop. It was fine half an hour ago !!..I checked the bios boot priority thing, and put "hard disk" right on top of the list. Just now, I tried repairing it using the windows xp bootable cd, when it says something about not finding a hard disk drive. I also noticed in the bios Main menu, the primary master is set to "none" while the secondary is the cd-rom. Does this mean my hard disk is dead ? is there anything i can do about this ?

I use adaware 2X/week but I still get errors that are caused by spyware. These errors include things like "aupdate has caused an error in Kernel32.DLL, aupdate will now close" when I try to download and apply new definitions with Norton. I also get similar error messages (all with Kernel32.DLL) from elink and lexplore. Any ideas? I've tried cleaning out the computer and re-installing Windows Me (what I have, I know, it's terrible).

Do i need to get the disk in the right format etc and if so would you know what that would be?

OK It plays cds and other discs fine. I pop in a DVD and no matter what player I use (Media player, Interactual, Winamp, eyc) It does not play. I get different errors (depending upon the program) one says it cannot draw, the other says sto check my sttings (I haven't changed anything) This happened about a weeka ago and I am at a loss. when i go to My Documents, some of my file names e.g some microsoft Word document names have changed from black to blue, not all of them just some. I just did a disk defragmentation and cleanup. Would this have something to do with it?

i need to know all the possible ways of finding and deleting my history. my dad threatened to take the computer away if i went on it later tonite, so i need to know how he is gonna be able to tell if i've been on it. i know how to delete my history on the web browser (next to the favorites and email tab on the top of my screen) but i need to know if there's another way he will be able to tell! lemme know all your knowledge!!!!!

I installed the game and when i go to open the game it says it can't locate the original disk, eventually if i try to open the game around 50 times it will load up once then not again until i try 50 times. I need some help.

I had a game installed on my computer called sims unleashed. I go to Control Panel - add or remove programs - remove. Then it says something about "preparing the install shield wizard, please wait" then a message comes up that says "the sims in currently not installed on this computer, aborting installation"
I do not want to install it i want to completely delete it from my computer, i dont know why it is still listed in the "add or remove programs" I want to completely get rid of it.

Do you know any program that you can veiw a website and all the sub-pages of it but not any other site? Ive seen this sort of thing at 'Best Buy' stores. Or even if you know how to do that in Internet Explorer.
