My computer won't display pdf files and I don't quite know what that is

It's essentially a picture of a document that's often used on websites instead of the document itself because not all people may have the software to open a Microsoft Word file, for example. Displaying a PDF file isn't really all that difficult; just download Adobe Reader from Adobe's website and you should be all set.

PDF file is a proprietory file format for adobe's acrobat reader. Go to www.adobe.com and download the acrobat reader. Then launch the application acrobat and open any .pdf file to view the content. If you have .pdf files associated to a different application. You will need to go to folders option in Windows Explorer under Tools. Then select the File Types tab. Look for the .pdf extension and see what application it is associated to. Delete it if it is not acrobat. Then close the windows. Go to a .pdf file (anyone). Click on it and if it ask you to choose an application. Choose the adobe acrobat application. This should fix your problem.
