I was watching this show on Sci-Fi called "Count Down to Doomsday" and they were talking about how robots are getting more and more intelligent and more complexed, and could one day dominate the Earth and have complete control over humans. I know it sounds a little crazy, but...could this really happen??? But what I don't get is that if scientists are really afraid of robots and machines getting smarter, then why are they making them so intelligent, they're the ones causing this!

My ISP won't provide me with a static IP address and I want to be able to access my webcam at any time, so if for any reason I end up with a new IP address, I need to know it. I do not want to use a service like dyndns.

Ive set up the router, finally both laptops are showing connected to wireless router, i have excellent connectivity-however I am still unable to connect to the internet. Of course when I connect the dsl cable to the laptop alone the internet comes on, so service is good. What am I doing wrong? I have retraced my steps many times and even set my wireless tcp/ip settings manually because I was getting an "aquiring ip address" message. Help. :(

my friend has it and she hasn't gotten any virus. People say you get viruses. i have a lot of programs against spy and all that stuff do you think it will work???????are the songs you get in there really good do they sound like the actual song or is it just a piece of crap that doen't sound anything like the real song???

I got a message saying my internet connection was slow because of a script running. How do you find out what scripts are running.? Also is there some software I could use which displays what scripts are running and advises on which one's to disable. Many thanks.

I'm playing Rome Total War and it get's very slow when I recruit a lot of units and espacially if I zoom into them to see how they are fighting. It's fine if theres only fewer units so I don't think it's the video card but I think its the ghz because mine is only 1.1. How can I speed up my computer to play the game faster? Are there any programs that speed up computers? Any software I can download or purchase? Anything I can do to my computer?

I read the package of these CDs that i found around the house. It says that you ca't burn them in regular 700mb cd burners....but i was wondering if they'll work n DVD burners. What makes them so speacial?

i have finally got my hands on a copy of doom3 in the sales for £2-50,yep £2-50 and i must admit its a corker of a game,probally one of the best i have played in ages
anyway the question is,are there any good mods or add-ons for the doom3 game,i have managed to install a high res patch but you dont notice much difference,so is there any other good ones
