A MegaByte contains 1024 KiloBites. The Kilobyte is the second smallest format of data. Before it being Bites. After the Megabyte is the Gigabyte, which contains 1024 Megabites. Each one has a pattern of 1024. I would continue, But thats all the information you sould need.

that is why it always says 2 different sizes on the properties of a file. one shows what it would be on a 1-1000 scale, the other one shows the 1024 scale.

for example 1K = 1024 so 1024 X 1024 = 1M (1048576K)

Ok i was wrong forget it.
i thought it was just a staright 100 to 1000, not the xtra 24, and this is what I have thought for over 15 years!
