GTR2 Wont reconize disk in the DVD-ROM drive when i go to load up the game?

Question

I installed the game and when i go to open the game it says it can't locate the original disk, eventually if i try to open the game around 50 times it will load up once then not again until i try 50 times. I need some help.

Did you try cleaning the CD? That usually helps
a lot of people don't realize that their hands have oil and when U leave smug marks on the CDs it will not load until you wipe it off
