I look over the specifications of your DVD player and it supports both DVD and VCD. To record movies on to a DVD blank, you 2 things: you need a DVD burner and you need a software program to burn the movie on to a DVD blank. Make sure you have a DVD burner installed on your computer. Usually, the user manual will tell you if the drive can burn DVDs or you can look at the front of the DVD drive - manufacturers sometimes etch the front of the drive tray with "DVD recordable." The latter is the hardware portion. Now, you need a software program to burn the movie. There are several choices, such as Nero Burning ROM, Roxio Easy Media Creator or Ashampoo Burning Studios. The bad part is that all of them cost money. Most stores sell them for about $69.00 - $89.00 USD. There are free burning software but, unlike the premium software, it requires some video editing know how. Premium software offer a one click process. There are a number of premium software which have free trial periods. Go to http://www.filehippo.com/software/dvd/ There you will find several free and not so free burning software. The following programs can burn DVDs and offer free trial periods (3 - 4 weeks): Alcohol 120%, CloneDVD and Nero Burning Rom 6 (7). You can try this programs before deciding if you want to purchase them.

If you want to avoid spending money and are eager pick up some video editing skills, drop me an e-mail and I can recommend free software solutions and refer you to tutorials on how to use them.

there are lots of ways but the easiest has to be "dvdsanta" it's just a matter of clicking a couple of buttons and waiting while it does it's stuff.. finished product is a nice DVD that you'll be able to play on any DVD player .. there is a free version that will put a small watermark on your film.. or there is a paid for version that does the same thing but without the water mark.. have fun and Happy New Year

Hi Julia, It depends. Find out which type of dvd drive you have ie DVD-R or DVD+R or both tpye in one. Than decede appropriate blank DVD. If you have a programme like Nero should burn it. Follow the menu in Nero Start smart. If you have film on your hard drve which is encrypted than you need special software to decode it. Software like Slysoft's AnyDVD.

I viewed your product description and I'm surprised that it doesn't play EITHER DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW. It will only play those movies you buy in a shop. Sorry. Upgrade to a different player.
