when you type in the site u want to go to in the adress bar all the way at the top of the screen and it automatically brings up the site if you already visited it before, well is there a way to turn that off so that it doesnt do that, is there a way

After moving My Documents folder to my D-drive, I have had difficulty displaying My Computer drives and folders. When I click on My Computer icon, the Windows screen that comes up shows a scanning flashlight icon. It takes 3-5 minutes for all of My Computer drives and folders to show on the screen.
How can I correct this problem?

For example, if I wanted to type an e with an accent aigu without altering the keyboard setup, I could press the Alt key at the same time as the number 130. If I wanted to type an e with an accent grave, I could type the numbers 138 while holding down the Alt key, and if I wanted to type a cédille, I could press down the Alt key along with the numbers 135.

What kind of number configuration would give me the euro? I know that a ¢ is 155, a £ is 156 and a ¥ is 157.

now it only has four (started yesterday...all by itself, I did nothing to the computer at all). And the ones that are there are things I have indeed used once or twice, but not the ones I use everyday. How can I fix it....I use the blasted thing everyday....Lazy? Maybe, but it works for me.

I am looking to reformat my system today and I would like to keep all my favorites on Firefox. I am uncertain as to how to go about this. Is there a file I can save to disk so that when I have reformatted and re-installed Firefox I can just slip the file into its assigned folder or.....what? I hope somebody can help. I graduted in July 2005 with a masters degree in Computing and Information systems from the University of Greenwich. I recenty downloaded an image from Limewire. It downloaded correctly, but the image name isn't anything like what I thought I was downloading and is of a very sensitive nature indeed. Although there is actually no image there, I cannot delete it. I've tried everything! Please help!

i bought sims 2 for pc from ebay ( i dunno if that matters) and had been playing it for about a month as i would ahve expected it to be.
then it freezes, the screen goes blue, but with the sims mouse still up.
the only way i could figure out how to get it off this screen was by pushing the 'windows' button - which closes that screen and brings the start menu up.
my screen had changed sizes and was very strange colours and pixelated. i restared the comp and the screen returnd to normal and a pop up said 'the system ahs just recovered from a serious error'
now, everytime i play sims 2 it does this. please help!

Just a few hours ago second life was working fine but now it lags like there is no tomorrow. The packet losse bar is always full and it says my packet loss percentage is always over 200%.

I have a 2mb connection and I let it take upto 600kbs of my bandwidht. I have also set it to only load things that are close in order to try and stop it from lagging.

Please tell me how I can fix this lag problem. I am nearly unable to move but it is not my connection becuase other games such as css work fine. Nothing has changed since it was last working.

The email subject was 'none'. There was no return address, even when I opened the email. There was only my address in the 'To:' space. It's scaring me because we are being stalked,late night knocks on the door, now this. Any ideas?

I fianlly installed SP2 and it had a shortcut to"Windows Marketplace" on the Popup Protection Bar which I didn't want so I deleted that shortcut but now I dont' have the Popup Protection Bar which I want so I can see a popup when I want to.
How can I get it back?

In my house there are two WinXP, both very important containing work stuff etc. I have some cousins who have an old pc and was wondering is it possible to link this old pc up to my router and set it up as a dedicated email server, giving my own domain, ie myname@myname.com. Also would that make it okay for accessing it via the web, as it would containing nothing but the email server there would be no important stuff on it so I would just keep all ports open. Is this possible to do for free, and is there free software to do it?

I removed the program and Virus Buster but now I'm having trouble controlling the computer. Pop-up saying the spam was detected install this to stop it and to make things worse pop-up of porn keep coming up. Is there anything I can do to stop this complete once and for all?
