I recenty downloaded an image from Limewire. It downloaded correctly, but the image name isn't anything like what I thought I was downloading and is of a very sensitive nature indeed. Although there is actually no image there, I cannot delete it. I've tried everything! Please help!

Easy.
1.Move everything you want out of folder.
2. Delete Folder.
3. Remake Folder
4. Move stuff back.
Empty Recycle Bin.
Works everytime.

Log in as a different user with admin rights. Sounds like the file is actually executable malware. Worst case scenario you may have to boot into dos and navigate to the file and delete it.
Here's a tip. Use a Windows 98 boot disk because it truly boots into DOS.

if the safemode does not work,download cybershredder,or some other free secure file delete utility off of download.com (not limewire...too risky) and test that,if that still does not work,scan your computer for a virus,spyware or adware that may be interfearing with the delete process,if you do not hvae any virus detection software,go to grisoft.com and get avg free or go to download.com and get spybot search and destory (or get one of teh other free virus/adware destroyers) good luck and i hope it works

If after rebooting, you still unable to delete the file. Use unlocker (program to delete locked file)

the two pass on your records limewire folder locate the music and delete it with limewire closed or restart limewire then delete it because you cant delete the report jointly as its getting used..
