For example, if I wanted to type an e with an accent aigu without altering the keyboard setup, I could press the Alt key at the same time as the number 130. If I wanted to type an e with an accent grave, I could type the numbers 138 while holding down the Alt key, and if I wanted to type a cédille, I could press down the Alt key along with the numbers 135.

What kind of number configuration would give me the euro? I know that a ¢ is 155, a £ is 156 and a ¥ is 157.

Hi. You can get any character you need from the following; Start> All Programs> Accessories> System tools> Character map. Also, you can download the symbol from this site : http://www.microsoft.com/typography/EuroSymbolFAQ.mspx
