15 feet would be no problem. I believe that WiFi will work over about 300 feet. Certainly it will cover a whole house.

There's no way to truthfully answer this question. Wireless uses a very high frquency which means the signal has a very small physical size. This signal is prone to issues which can be determined by the structure of the building.

Most wireless signals go further than 15 feet. If the device does not work for your environment you can always return it.

Log onto the get admission to element (or router, or in spite of it calls itself) over the internet. perhaps you like a under pressure connection for that. verify the handbook. circulate into protection/configuration, and choose WPA2 or WEP encryption and a password. then you certainly would desire to configure the comparable password on your wifi instruments. there may be a wizard to make a USB stick for that. you would be able to even have the means to create MAC handle get admission to administration lists.

It's true that WiFI MAY extend 300 ft, but the signal would not be very strong. And, walls and floors will interfere with the signal. It may be 15 ft. above you, but it has to go through the floor. I think you'd need a USB adapter to get the signal from the router.

they recommend 30 feet and you should be facing the router.

I think it won't, but that's just me. Buy it, and if it doesn't work, give it back.
