to make files in a folder unhidden go to the folder and in the top bar there is a menu called tools

so..

tools>>>folder options>>>view>>>Hidden files and folders>>>show hidden files/folders

that should let you see hidden files. However, those hidden files may be write protected (which explains why you can't delete them) so in order to fix that you can right click the file and go to properties and uncheck read only (if you have administrator rights). Make sure, however, that the file you delete is not a critical file to the stability of Windows Media Player, otherwise you'll have to uninstall the whole program and reinstall it again.

Well you can try to do it manually (not recommended) by clicking on Start>Search>All Files and Folders>More Advanced Options>All files and folders>type in what you are looking for. Be careful, deleting the wrong files could be terrible.

I recommend using a registry cleaner. I use RegScrubXP.

Download RegScrubXP--http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2048

Safely cleans junk out of the Windows 2000/XP system registry. All changes made to the registry are fully restorable to it's original condition. You can make an exclusion list of registry entries that RegScrubXP will not display as problems. You can sift through a list of file extensions, company names, run upon startup programs, Internet Explorer history, and uninstall programs to delete what you think is junk.

Encrypt it. 4. do no longer shop them on your not undemanding-disk. purchase an exterior not undemanding-disk (prices ranged from $50 to $1000) or an USB Flash Disk and keep your information there. convey it everywhere you flow. no matter if needed, positioned a password. exterior not undemanding-disks will be password danger-free. 5. positioned the report far contained in the gadget operating information. yet it is likewise ineffective as trick huge style 2, because the report will be searched actual making use of search for. i desire this helps, satisfied that could actually help you besides.

Right click on "start" and select "Explore". That is your file system. Click on "tools" then "folder options" then "view" and put a dot in "show hidden files."

Hope that helps.
