well, the problem is that the toolbar exists but when i open a window or something it doesn't appear on the toolbar.. although the toolbar is there but the "boxes" we click on to get to a certain place don't appear.. Please help me solve this problem,, or suggest a way to help ! ..

I was browsing in the Windows Explorer, windows Temp file and I came across about 100 files labeled "$Ntuninstall update xxxxxxx$". (oddly, they are in blue, not black as all of the other files). Are these Uninstallers for the windows updates that have been done over the last few years? If so, and they are only an uninstall info, i should be able to delete them. The computer works fine, just wish to uninstall things that are not necessary. This is over 3gb of information here.

I've just found out my PentiumIII processor has two different speeds, namely:

Core Speed of 731 MHz
and,
Bus Speed of 133 MHz.

I want to buy a PCI tuner board that needs a processing speed of 500 MHz (or greater), but do they mean Core or Bus speed?

I'm too stupid to know the difference, can you advise please (or point me to an idiot-proof help site)?

For example, I can copy and paste within firefox by right clicking, but I cannot right click on the desktop or in any windows folders. I tried checking the mouse settings and they looked fine. Advice?

I have an old 8Gig Compaq Deskpro PC with Windows 2000 Professional, but can't figure out where it tells me its processor speed. Can you help. please?

I'm also thinking of attaching a 250GB external hard-drive, but don't know if that will have its own processor speed.

I'm asking all this because no-one will buy me any Xmas presents (boohooo), and I want to treat myself to a PCI tuner board that needs 500GHz or greater. But I'm not even sure what the PCI thing is. Am I wasting time and money here?

Can you turn my boohoo into wooohooooooo please?

I've heard when you delete something, whether a letter from Microsoft word, or you've emptied,your recycle bin, or you've been cruising the internet, and you delete it, clear history, cache, cookies, etc. - that its still on your hard drive and can be retrieved.
Where are these files, if you've deleted them ? Are they located somewhere on the hard drive outside of windows? And yes I did check out adult sites one time, but nothing illegal. But mainly I'm talking about old excel files and word files I deleted permanently. Why can't I find them without special tools. What's a good software for either recovering, or permanently removing these hidden files. Does defrag. get rid of them?

I have a Compaq Presario R3000 with an AMD64 Processor. I have Ubuntu (Dapper Drake) built on it but the touchpad is so sensitive that it is unusuable. When I put my finger on the touchpad and move it anywhere on the screen, it is so sensitive that it will either start clicking randomly along the way or consider it a hold and drag rather than just moving the mouse. It makes the laptop fairly worthless as a laptop because it's unusuable unless I have an external mouse connected, which is fairly annoying.
