you could reformat it and not utilizing a disc yet you will no longer have the skill to place in the appliance onto it after formatting. you go with for the setting up discs for the working gadget and however application you have on it. you could strengthen a command instantaneous and grace format c: then press enter. while it asks in case you're specific and that all people information would be lost press y and then enter. do no longer try this till you have a thank you to re-set up domicile windows (i'm assuming domicile windows considering you're asking approximately formatting). in case you have a Compaq gadget fix disc which will paintings besides. in case you have the fix disc pop it into the cd/dvd rom and reboot the computing device. you will likely could enter the bios via pressing the two Delete or F2 for the duration of the inital boot (oftentimes after a beep and till now it starts loading domicile windows) and alter the boot sequence besides from the cd-rom so as that it will boot from the fix disc. once you boot from the fix disc it somewhat is going to enable you to format the force(s) till now loading domicile windows. in case you haven't any longer have been given the gadget fix disc, then you certainly are out of luck till you get a domicile windows cd. in case you format the force and don't have a thank you to re-set up the working gadget you will now no longer have the skill to do use your computing device...till you re-set up the appliance.
