In your computer can you choose between Windows 98 OR windows XP? Because I have a few games that only work on windows 98 so is there a way I could get it?

You can right click on the game and pick properties and select run as windows 98. This normally should make it work. You can set up two operating systems on some PCs but I highly suggest none of them being windows 98. Either way its annoying to set up.

there is a way...windows XP is capable by 2 Operating Systems...

Make a two or three partition to your Hardisc, then install first your Windows 98... after that, install the XP from Runtime Windows 98...

Note: Windows 98 and Windows XP must be in separate partition of your hard drive...

then poof...

OR

You can run your games into your Windows XP by doing the following below:

1. Right Click your Game Icon, then, click properties, then click compatibility, then select Windows 98...then, click apply, then OK...

2. Run the Programm............

Enjoy

You can try setting the compatability property of the game launch icon to Windows 98. Right click the icon in your start menu or your desktop, select properties, select compatability, and set it to Windows 98.

If you right-click on the game and go to properties, you should be able to tell it to run as Windows 98

I've never thought that it was possible...I mean, I used to see a lot of CD games on sale but they were all for Win 98 and so I never got them. I tried installing a game once that worked only for Win 95-98, and it never ran on my XP - didn't even show up to right click on or anything.

It would be very tricky unless you really know what you are doing. There is a program called System Commander that will let you create a "dual-boot" machine like this. However you really need to start out like this. It's lots of work to make a machine do both if it is already only doing one.

Unless you a ready to start your computer from scratch, losing all your applications (and having to resinstall them), you should forget about this.
