I was browsing in the Windows Explorer, windows Temp file and I came across about 100 files labeled "$Ntuninstall update xxxxxxx$". (oddly, they are in blue, not black as all of the other files). Are these Uninstallers for the windows updates that have been done over the last few years? If so, and they are only an uninstall info, i should be able to delete them. The computer works fine, just wish to uninstall things that are not necessary. This is over 3gb of information here.

Since these are in fact uninstallers for the updates that have been done successfully, I do not need them. All is working well and the updates have been successful, with the last update being a month or so ago. I will delete these to free up some space. Thank you all.

You must have hidden files and folders unhidden to see these. Yes, they are uninstall utilities for the patches and updates and normally can be safely deleted. Provided you don't ever wish to undo the Windows updates.

you are correct. they are uninstall data for those updates. if you delete them, you will not be able to uninstall any of the updates those files reference.
