i tried what you said but it still wouldn't work, there isn't anything that says task bar on or off. i tried right clicking and moving it down..it only goes down halfway on the screen then it stops, it won't move down any farther.

My cat shut off the surge protector attached to my computer, and now, nothing turns on. The Light in the back still flashes, so i had thought, theres still hope.

I checked all of the outlets, plug ins, nothing. I went to the HP website, did all of the little steps that they tell you to do for this sort of thing, still nothing.

Obviously, i think something needs to be replaced, or fixed.

Whats my next step?
(I'm in Minnesota, and i have a HP a450n)

I haven't done it in a long time, and when I analyze it, it says "This volume does not need defragmented." Should I do it anyway? My computer is getting so slow.

start up always at black screen (start windows normally, last known conf., safe mode) after using computer for approx. 15 mins. black screen appears again but will not start up windows at all untill the computer is totally shut off for at least a half hour or so system turned on again @ restart the black screen appears, BUT pick "start normally" & windows loads and system works properly for approx. 15 mins then just repeats ???? Had computer checked & serviced still not fixed ??? any ideas anyone ?????

I can't access the internet on my new windows XP account. We have Verizon yahoo! for Broadband. It is installed on the "family" account, but I recently added a personal account for myself, but I can't access the internet from it... I have to log back onto the family account to get to it. Is there a way to move the program to my account as well?

I don't have any programs or anything. I'm downloading torrents from Pirate Bay and need to know what program to open them in, it says the file can't be opened and I'm pretty sure I need a special type of software. thx!

I have a Windows XP (service pack 1) machine which gets slower about 30 minutes after operating in normal mode. This does not happen in safe mode. I have the latest in Anti-virus, firewall and Spyware detection. I checked the fan and all. It’s not over heating and I can’t really see any extra processes.
Can someone help.

I have been having a problem with iTunes the past 2 days. I reedemed my iTunes gift cards from Christmas, and tried to purchase a few songs. At first, all of the songs downloaded. Later, though, when I tried to download more songs, it took a while to connect to the iTunes store (as appearing on the information bar on top). Then, an error message appears. It either says "We're sorry, we cannot complete your request on the iTunes store at this time." or something about the network timing out. I am unsure what to do. Are you experiencing these problems as well? Is there any known cause? What can I (or we) do, if possible, to stop this from occuring?

I have the CD but I have a huge hardrive and would rather put all the games I have completely onto the hardrive to where I dont need a CD to play them.Is there a program that does this,I dont think coppying the CD to my computer will work. THANKS
