My husband has recently been cleaning out hidden files on my computer. He found my keylogger software that i took many precautions to hide and he removed it from my computer. Oh, and dont preach to me on why I shouldnt have a secret keylogger on my computer w/o my husbands knowledge. Dont need that advice. (read my other questions, and you'll know why) Can anyone tell me how to find these hidden files or folders? He wont tell me. He said he's alread went through 2000 folders and there are 6 or so more with more files inside those folders. What does that mean and where can it be found on my computer. Thanks

Can a computer make alterations to a file on a DVD-RAM without transferring it to the computers own RAM? I am trying to make a feature-film, but my computer's RAM is too small to support it, so I wondered if a DVD-RAM could back it up for me.

I repaired my computer using recovery console. My pictures survived but I've yet to find any audio, video and Words files on my system.
When I try to open folders from before the recovery I get this message: c:\\documents and settings\xxxxx

Can an overwritten file be restored?

If no, how can I remove/erase the old data? The old files are taking up a lot of disk space.

i have found out in computer managment that one drive is set at 7.83gb with 8.2gb unallocated (boot)... and on the other 7.83gb used with 30.42 unallocated .....how do i get the free space onto the drives using the computer managment window (or any other way if its easier)

Aaaargh! I've had it with hunting down drivers and fixing gaps because of re-installing my OS. They serious should include everything that was with it when it came from the factory.

I downloaded a game and it says something about that i need DirectX 8.1, i asked people what i needed and they told me my computer ain't powerful enough. But then i checked the video game box and it says the computer has to be 512 mb or higher, and mine is exactly 512mb. And it says the video card has to have one of these T&L cabable chipsets:
ATI RADEON 8500 or higher, and NVIDIA GeForce3 or higher, and mine has GeForce 4, how come the game ain't working?? Do i have to download DirectX 8.1?

With the old browser I could move the cursor over the top left area of a picture and it offered several options, including options to print or save. The new version of internet explore does not do this, or I do not have it activated. How do I activate it?

My computer just restarts out of the blue with NO warning. No buttons pressed or anything. My keyboard does not have a sleep button or anything like that.

Windows XP, Internet Explorer 7, and AOL 9.0.

Is there anything I can do to fix this????????????

Im thinking about download limewire. But from what i know of, if you download music or movies you dont have the copyright to, it is illegal. But the thing is, accually getting caught with it. From what i found out, the only people the record companies are getting are the people sharing thousands of the files in their librarys.

So what i am asking is, if i set it up so the folder to share is different than the save folder and there is nothing in the share folder, will i still get caught? becuase it would show i have 0 files. so how they even know ive ever downloaded anything?

you know that normal windows xp login screen with all of the user's names? well i had that [this pc is new, so you know] and then i installed the a wireless internet thing, and now it doesnt have that..it just has a little box that you can type in the user name and password if you have one...help?!?!?!?!?!?
