I want to buy a video card for my PC and i was told that my power supply needs to be 450W. Mine is 400W so i was told its still ok... But i was told that my power supply must also have many Amps or something to do with the Amps... Is there a chance i get a graphic card and these Amps cause a problem?

The computer is Emachines, 256 MB Ram. I purchased it in 2003. Power definitely comes on, and the Hard Disk Drive access indicator light is always on.
The computer has a floppy disk, but there is no disk in the drive, and there is no cd or dvd in the cd or dvd players.

I at least want to access my pictures! How do I get back in? Has my hard drive crashed? Is it repairable?

i has a ques...if my device uses 12v 5A psu.....will putting a 15v 8A supply help? wat if i i use a 12v 10A instead? same outcome? any harm to my component? will it cause over current and burn my component? or it will act like psu unit.in pc...if i need 300w ....i can throw a 400w psu to it and no problem ...the pwb will draw it require current?

I have 4 MB of different brands and they all take DDR 3200 CL 2.5 but it don;t work on ANY of them. And yes it new and yes I will return them but I want to know why they won't work? I was told they were some of the best for overclocking....or so i was lead to belive.

my dvd burner, matshita uj-832d isn't working...and it says the driver might be corrupted or missing...anyways, i try to reinstall the driver but it fails...i have a sony vgn-sz260p...can anyone please help me solve this problem...thanks for any help you may offer

I am looking for a motherboard that supports the following configurations:

1. 2X PCI-Express Slots - (I want to use 2 PCI-Express video cards, so if you can explain how to do that it would be helpful)

2. Will support P4 processor (2.25 Ghz) but will also support Core 2 Duo for when I upgrade. I would like to use the motherboard with my current P4 2.25 processor and upgrade later to Core 2 Duo without changing the motherboard.

I dont need a specific model, just specifications (a specific model will be helpful but not necessary)... I think Socket 775 is what I need but I am not sure.

Hi my friend has just text me for help with their PC. My friend said that when he turns the PC on it loads up to the windows logo then the screen goes blue with loads of weird letters and numbers on the screen. He has tried it in safe mode but it wont work. He thinks it is a hardware problem. He hasn't downloaded or deleted anything. It was working fine yesterday. Anyone got any suggestions?

I have two hard drives from an XP computer and am trying to transfer files to a new Vista PC. The files are generally large media files. Vista chokes on it every time -- I get the window that says Vista is calculating the transfer time, and it just hangs forever!

OK, here`s my problem. Occasionally, my PC turns off and then for some time doesn`t want to turn on. When I hit the power button ,the fan makes a single round and then everything stops. I have to try several times before the PC finally turns on. Any suggestions what the problem might be ?

Well, it's time to finally upgrade my slow-azz 1.3 mhz motherboard to a faster one. Does anyone have any good suggestions, comments, tips before I blindly pick and have one installed?
