This isn't an advertisement, this is a survey I'm taking for a project of mine. Please answer the following 3 questions.

1. Do you have more than one sound system used with any computer (i.e. speaker system & headphones, speaker system a & speaker system b, etc)?

2. Would you be interested in being able to toggle between the primary sound system and secondary sound system on your computer at the click of a button or key?

3. Would you be interested in merging two sound systems into one on your computer (i.e. 5.1+5.1 = 10.2) with little effort?

4. Any feedback?

Please list answers as:
1. Yes or No
2. Yes or No
3. Yes or No
4. Comments/questions...

I have a portable USB hard drive which works every where on other computers, but just not on my USB on my computer. It did work before, but just suddenly refused to work properly. It just seems to never stop reading the thing as the red light is on permanently when I plug it onto my computer. Does anyone have any solutions?

Thanks in advance.

1st the PC would restart on it's own and had alot of error messages. Changed the hard drive, starts to screen where you choose the start up method (safe mode, regular start, ect) then restarts no matter what you choose. Changed the power supply, no change. removed every part and replaced it one by one - no change. Checked the CPU, connected well, no apparent problems. Capacitors are not buldging. Please help

i recently got a new computer and i like to play games on it like world of warcraft. the specs of my computer are 512mb 3200mhz ram, 80gb drive, sempron procesor 1.8ghz, geforce fx 5200 series 256mb video card. my prosessor is a bit slow and im getting new ram soon so i can play battlefield 2142 but i hear that i need a whole new motherboard for a processor. is there a place i can take my new pentium processor to so they can install it? will it make my computer run faster then just buying another 512mb ram to equal 1gb?

By pre-made, I mean a pre-configured one from HP or Dell or a big computer company like them.

By custom, I mean you pick your own case, prossesor, RAM, etc.

I have read somewhere the largest USB drive you can use to run WinXP from is 2GB (due to FAT format limitations). The article with that info was written over a year ago. I was wondering if it is possible to use a 4GB...(maybe partitioned to work around the FAT-16 issue?)

On my new Dell Dimension E520 the dual drives dont work.
I hardly use that pc because it doesnt have an internet connection yet. Recently the cd drives just stopped working. I think i might have done it when i tryed to uninstall windows messenger. I went to control panel, add/remove programs, uninstall windows componants. I have no clue if this could have done it. I went into bios and it still does not recocnize the drives. The drives themselves work, i can open and close them but windows wont recognize them.

hi, i bought an X1600 512mb AGP 8x video card around a year ago and it recently stopped working. i can boot up the computer, but the monitor is blank or reads "monitor is working properly, check hardware and signal cable." i've tried other monitors and signal cables but nothing has worked so far.

has anyone else had this problem? if so, how did you fix it?

I still use floppy disks but there seems to be something wrong. When I try to open a disk I get the message that it has not been formatted. When I try to format it I get the message that it cannot be formatted. Can anyone tell me why this is? My son uses the floppy disk drive a lot for his college work and it is badly missed since it started to act up.

I want to find a replacement for a long standing relationship with CDW. Loved CDW selection and website, prices weren't great but they had everything and also want someone shipping out of the midwest so I can get stuff quick even though paying ground rates.

i am sure the motherboard i am working on includes a onboard sound card, but the manual says something like that:
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a396/winggx/audio.jpg
what does it mean? and do I have to connect any cables from the headers that is circled in green, in order to make my onboard soundcard work?

and a question about setting up bios... i am not doing any over clocking or something like that... is it ok to skip the work of setting up bios? because i am not very good at it, can i just jump to the installation of OS directly?
thx!!!!!

the pc tower is the actual "box" that holds your cd tray, power button, all the inner workings of a computer except the monitor and keyboard and mouse. if anyone knows who invented this it would be great. i have heard that it was a man named lee or orvill tencher? but can not find any results on a search.
