Why my XP machine is locked, can it show webcam video?

When I leave my computer after locking it with (windows key / L) is there any way to show the video footage of my webcam? I would like to show any would-be-thief who enters my cubicle that they are being watched by my webcam.

Locking Windows makes it so that you cannot use the computer, but anything that was running before it was locked will continue to run.
