I have read somewhere the largest USB drive you can use to run WinXP from is 2GB (due to FAT format limitations). The article with that info was written over a year ago. I was wondering if it is possible to use a 4GB...(maybe partitioned to work around the FAT-16 issue?)

USB drive booting up and running WinXP on its own...
4GB or larger will work? (the article mentioned above said most BIOS only see FAT-16 when booting from USB)

You should be able to use a 4gb drive, format it as fat32 instead of just fat and you will be able to use the whole thing. I have a 4gb toshiba flash drive and it is great.
