..step. Why? Hitting the restart button (so far) gets it past this part where it gets stuck. Is this a registry problem or hardware? Will it happen more and more frequently or is it a two off (it's happened twice now in 10 days). What's best to do to keep the machine reliable?

I want to get more RAM for my computer, but am unsure about what kind to get. I know my computer will only take up to PC2700 speed(?) DDR, non-ECC, and up to just over 2 gigs of space on the motherboard, but that's about it.

I have an HP Pavilion 2600 (desktop) with an 80 gb hard drive. It started grinding a little bit a few months ago and has increased greatly in the past weeks. Programs are slow to open and everything freezes when the hard drive is making that noise. The sound was worse when the hard drive needed to be defragged but now, even that isn't helping. I've saved all the important files so I'm good to go there. What I need to know is what kind of hard drive should I purchase. Is Windows XP on the HP Recovery disks and if not, how can I get that from my computer? Or do I have to buy the boot disk? I'm a little nervous about replacing it since I've never done this before but I hear its relatively simple as long as your follow instructions. My hard drive has C & D drives. Is that necessary? The D drive holds the HP Recovery disks but I already have those burned to a cd. Thanks for any info you all can provide for me!

When my computer freezes I hit Ctrl,Alt,Delete and it says Project 1 is running. What is Project 1 and do I need it. If not how do I get rid of it?

I have a flathead screwdriver that I use at work that seams to always get magnatized. I then degauss it and it is ok for a couple weeks, then gets magnatized again.

Is there a screwdriver that I can buy that does not hold a magnetic resonance? Maybe one that is made out of a different kind of metal that is not suseptable to magnatism? If so, where can I buy?

Some times I want to just print the part of the screen I am looking at.Isn't that what the print screen button on the key board is for?I press it but it does not do anything.Can I fix this?And the mail button goes to outlook express.I have yahoo.Can these two things be fixed?

I have installed all the drivers including its original software. I can properly watch tv from the original software, but when I tried to set it up on MCE, it says there's no TV Tuner installed!
