If you've run clean up and deleted all the old programs you don't have a lot of options left.
Defrag the disk regularly, you won't get space back but it might improve your speed a bit.

how about u try deleting temporay files? if u use windows 2000 or xp, try opening the folder for c, then open the a folder called temp.
highlight all the files with a .tmp extensionand shift delete them.
u can also empty ur recycle bin.

CCleaner (C stands for cr*p) free download from download.com and others, it released over a GB on my laptop even though it is well-maintained....

check your files file size (right click then properties). explore your drive C for unwanted files.
or you can compress your files using winzip
