I don't know of any computers made in the last 20 years that aren't VGA. What kind of computer do you have, and what operating system are you using.
If you are using MS Windows all you do is right click on any blank spot on the screen, click on properties then set the resolution and color quality there. If you click on the "advanced" bar you can change other settings for your monitor and video adapter there too.

All computers since somewhere in the 1990s have VGA. You do not have to enable it.

video graphics accelerator is for the monitor if it's working then it's on already either it's on the mother board or it's a card that goes in an agp slot or pci express slot there is adjustments in the bios for them
