is there any quick fix at home that i could try? i will eventually take it to the 'geek squad' or similar to see if they can retrieve the data. i have about 300 Gigs of music and movies that i do not want to loose! :(

hello.. i have this weird problem in my sound jacks. when i tried to insert the speaker in the speaker jack i dont have any sound at all. But when i insert my speaker in the microphone jack it does have a sound but not too loud... what is the problem here..?? it would be an honor if u solve my problem... thanks

i changed from a 2.8gh m.board to a 3.3ghz m/board. now the pc is slower than before, the new one is a dual prosessor, is that the reasson why it is slow at loading, i have 512 ddr ram in one set of slots and nothing in the other set of slots. can you tell me why its so slow

had a problem some how lost a NTLDR file tryed to re install from the master dvd. This was no help as nothing happend, it was supposed to reset to factory settings but never. i have a xp disc an was wondering is it wise to try install it, or will it work any help would be very helpful as i am using my old slow pc....thank you...and merry christmas

Custom system, i need alot of watts, pretty cheap, sli ready. How do i make sure they are compatible? Is it just the 24 pin i need to look at besides the wattage? And will it be compatible with all of the other parts in the custom computer? (like voltages and stuff). I understand everything else about computer componets, just not the power supplies.

I have already tried norton ghost with no success. I just got a new 250GB WD to replace my old 160GB. Is there a way to clone the old drive over to the new one?

yes i put in my cd recovery disc to reinstall my windows xp i followed the options till i came to a screen showing me the three drives (c) (d) (e)...i deteted the ...( d ) (e) drives ....after i did that if nocked my capacity back up to the full 74 kb ...i installed a fresh copy of windows xp on the 74 kb partion then booted it up and then i aint got no sound on the new instalation setup .

is there anyway i can get these two drives back on my pc .because after i reinstaled my windows xp i clicked on where it says my computer to see what drives i have on my pc and theres only drive ( c ) on there ....plus i seemed to have lost my sound is this becuse i have deleted those two drives ...would reformatting the pc reset everything if so how would i go about doing that ...

i connected the sony erricson model k320i to my pc and when a dialouge box indicating new hardware found was displayed it successfully finshed installing the drivers automatically. but after that also i was unable to connect. there is a lot of data in the mobile and therefore it is very necessary for me to transfer it to the pc. please send me message at sanjaygaur78@yahoo.com. please mail urgently.

the pc i am using has windows xp and when i open up MY COMPUTER, right click on my D drive.....it lists my used space as 4.43 GB and my free space as 1.55 GB....WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? also for my C drive the used space is 14.0 GB and free space is 35.8 GB.
can anyone tell me in laymens terms, what this means about the life, or performance of this computer?

OK, ive been wanting to build a new computer for myself for a while, and i cant decide on which to chose: a Pentium 4 2.8ghz 521(single core) w/ 1gb ddr2 or a Pentium D 2.66ghz 805(dual core) w/ 512mb ddr2. They would both cost the same (the p4 would come out of this system, replaced with a $50 cpu, and 1gb of ram costs $100. the pd costs $100 and $50 for the 512mb ram) and there are minor drawbacks to each. Which would you chose?
