Did you switch Just CPU or mobo and CPU? Did you properly install all the MOBO drivers? CPU may not be compatible with the mobo chipset. Check your BIOS settings ... if you don't know what that means, get help or read the manual. You running Windoze XP? It doesnt like chipset changes. Perhaps a re-install is in order.

Try overclocking the system. Upgrade your ram pc3200 ddr. Remove any unwanted files.

i would double check all connection and make sure all the other things that you didnt upgrade is compatiable with the new board, also run disk defrag and do a clean up of junk files....good luck with everything

Did you format the hard drive and re installed windows? if not the hard drive still has drivers do not agree with the new hard ware.

If you don't have "Norton System Works" get it. It will detect ALL problems and auto fix them. It has really made my computer fast!
