Im building a Gaming PC and having alot of fun learning along the way. One thing confuses me. Everyone I ask says the best CPU at the moment is the AMD 64-FX62. I checked and this is a 2.8Ghz chip. What confuses me is that there are Intel chips at 3.4Ghz that are half the RRP.
How can a slower CPU be more efficient?
Is there more to it than the clock speed?

I want to speed up my PC by adding RAM. It takes up to 2GB at 400Mhz but like most package computers will only accept low density RAM. Who invented high density RAM anyway? Why cant they keep things simple?!

I am building a gaming PC. The graphics card I got has a video output, actually it has two. This is so I can use a television instead of a monitor right? So would it be better for gaming if I bought a large TV rather than a monitor, especially as monitors above 21" become ridiculously expensive.
Will a good TV match the resolution on modern monitors?

I doubt that the RAM or Mother Board will be damaged if such direct connection is given as a remedy of faulty switch on the computer case. My mother board and RAM have been replaced with new ones due to the fluctuations of electricity because of the faulty switch.
Is it because of the faulty switch or some other reason?
