Give them to a local deprived school. There are loads of them in London.

Failing that, a local youth club or a homeless persons hostel.

There are many organisations that re-condition old computers, wipe their hard-disks of data and ship them out to Africa. Here is a link to one of them. You can find others by typing 'computers africa' into a search engine. There are other organizations that donate them to UK charities.

If you want to make absolutely sure that confidential data is wiped before the computer leaves your site, use the free program that I have provided a link to below. I would recommend that you do this. There have been stories on TV of people overseas obtaining bank and credit card details from old hard disks.

There are plenty, the best being one which benifits children in school. Computers for Uganda is such a charity. Always best to recycle rather than dispose!

Could try Child Poverty Action Group - they may be able to take them off your hands or distribute them to other charitable organisations affiliated to them.

How about donating them to a charity, there are charities around that use that stuff to donate to poor countries. Worth a look.

try any Oxfam shop ,UNICEF,or your council offices town hall should be able to point you in the right direction if you require local
