It may be that you have the camera's settings too high as far as quality goes. If you have it set to the highest quality, then there's no wonder the file size gets that high! Try setting it lower and recording the same thing two or three times on different quality settings and see if that helps.
The same thing happens in digital cameras for images when you have the quality setting too high, it cuts down on the number of pictures that you can take on one card.

I actually have a Canon S5 IS that takes video at 640 x 480 determination, at 30 fps, and the standard is reminiscent of a mini DV camcorder. It additionally has 12x zoom so you might use on a similar time as recording. (maximum cameras won't permit you do this) the shrink back is that the clips are particularly great, so which you would be wanting a great SD card.

Why is 1 mb supposed to be 1 hr? The size of the clip depends on its quality. Set the video quality you want in your camera's menu.

It all depends on the 'frame size'. Check your settings and you might be able to get a smaller frame size (and smaller file). But in reality a Meg isn't that huge. Maybe the cheapest answer would be to invest in increased memory for your camera. Then, it's a 'non-issue'

Have to disagree..

A 1 Mb file would be more like 5 mins than 1 hour.

a 1Gb (gigabyte) is more like 1 hours worth (at a v high quality)

um... yeah like 10 freakin years ago.

1mb isn't that big -_-

look if you want more out of your 1 mb, goto settings and reduce the picture size or the video quality
