Like the other guy said, it probably won't have the same power connector needed on Pentium 4 motherboards.
In addition, keep in mind that Pentium III systems could get by with a 200W power supply. However, you want to make sure you have a quality power supply with at least 300W of power to be on the safe side, and for newer Pentium 4's on the LGA 775 interface, it would be best to make sure you're in the 400W range (most of it depends on the other hardware in your system).

It could work but if the if the P4 is newer then it needs the 12V power connector to give power to the processor.

Can't, P4/Athlon XP needs physically different power supply; they have an extra connector for CPU electricity older suppliers don't have..

Depends on size of power supply, and how many peripherals you want to power with it.
Personally I like at least 450W and most of mine are 500W (cost about $20 to $25

MAY NOT BOOT OR DAMAGE TO HARDWARE IF NOT SUPPLY ENOUGH POWER
ATX 20 pin some newer board use 24 pin connectors so it may or may not fit ??
