I have a BIGFOOT hard disk, my mother board is toasted.

The best way to get the data from the drive is to either put it in another computer, as a slave drive, and move the data to the master drive or buy a USB to EIDE cable and attach it to your new system and move the data. A link to the cable I spoke of above.

if you are going to replace your motherboard just install your drive after that install windows again at found windows screen select repair windows donot change file system windows will reinstall and configure your motherbaord all your files on the hard drive will remain as they where with the exception of ay updates you have downloaded this is the easiest way if you pick the other windows choices this is a clean install which formats the drive and reinstalls less your files you can do this with any windows operating system

Move it to another computer as a slave drive, save it on that computer's drive, fix your own computer, then move back the hard drive and copy the files.
