I have been looking at laptops for aroudn 350-400 quid. I have seen these two. The latter is reduced from 500-400 but not necessarily better than the other. What do you think?

It needs to be under 1,000 (preferably under 750). Write the name or the make (Dell, Gateway) of the computer and any comments

The problem is, I have very very low hard drisk space. And disk cleanup, removing programs, is not helping. I even deleted a 4 GB game installed onto my computer to save space. Help me!

How do I erase everything on my computer and start clean? Can I get back all of my hard disk space, as it was when first purchased?

I've reached the max limit that my laptop holds for RAM. It only holds 384 (a 2001 laptop). What else can I do to make my computer run more smoothly. When i first got it, it had Windows ME but I updated to XP a couple months ago. Is there anything else i can do to make my computer run smoothly and fast?

I'm looking to buy a laptop to replace my desktop computer. I play the Sims 2 on my computer often and it's a bit slow. I also have many music files and have many pictures on my computer, so I need at least an 80 gig hardrive.

I use the wireless G adapter and I followed the manuel step by step. It says to first install the wireless cd then install after that it said to insert the wireless card after shutting down the computer and then to restart and from there on i should have gotten a message saying that the wireless card is installed or new hardware is found . But when i kept doing that it still didn't connect. So if anyone might know of a solution please let me know thanks

I'm trying to refurbish an old IBM Thinkpad A20m. I've installed Windows 2000 on it. However, I get many random crashes and BSODs. I'm replaced the RAM, re-installed many times, installed a new hard drive, etc. Currently I'm ordering a new CMOS battery, but i'm not sure it's that. The only conclusion I have left is that there may be a microfracture somewhere on the motherboard that is causing the system to fail intermittenly. However, I am unsure how to diagnose such an error as every BSOD gives me a different message (i.e. page_fault_in_non_page_fault , etc) and set of memory registers.

How do I get the best out of my laptop? Its got an intel centrino duo processor T2300, I gb of ram, a dedicated 128mb ati radeon mobility x1400 graphics card, an 80gb sata drive, and a dvd multi format recordable drive. Its running windows xp. Any tips or tweaks for best performance? Its mainly used for a bit of music, the odd game, surfing and photographs. It does everything ok, but I wonder if it could be a little better. Any ideas?

im a first year college student and i need a notebook. im probably going to use it for things like the internet, microsoft word, pictures, downloading music...just regular college things. but the only thing is im not computer literate at all. i want to be able to do those tasks maybe all together but still want the notebook to be pretty fast.

i have a budget of 1000 (if i can buy something under 1000 that would be great) so i want to be able to buy the best notebook for my money. i'm probably going to use this for a while (until i finish college?) so i want it to be really good.

any suggestions would be much appreciated.
