Scan with AVG Antivirus (Grisoft), Ad-Aware (Lavasoft), Spy-bot Search and Destroy (download.com), and Windows Defender (Microsoft). All are free downloads. If they turn up negative, overheating may be the problem. Take "canned air" and blow the dust out of the air flow vents and the fan. These things get a lot of dust in them.

It's not your laptop, it's a nearby phone. Our handheld turns off my husbands laptop several times a week. Don't understand why,

The problem could be your battery ,go to my computer , right click , go to properties ,left click, click on hardware, click on device manager, incase of yellow ?marks at battery etc , show it to the reliable service engineer, never give your laptop and go , spend time with him and let him open in front of you and service it.have you given it to someone for overnight purpose .....?
